Magnet 6

Two Shells, No Lies — Miami Beach, 2025

Material evidence

Cement dust, Atlantic shell fragments, red-thread residue, magnet backing.

Notes

Two shells placed together on a modest slab. One gray with weather, one white with recent salt. They neither mimic nor mirror — they converse in difference.

Hidden — Level 13

This piece resists the aesthetic instinct. It values proximity over harmony. The asymmetry holds its own dignity. The shells know the city’s sediment. The hands that placed them were impatient and honest. I am an art practitioner in Miami Beach. I make fridge magnets from cement dust and sea shells.
